MIT Kerberos developers use several venues for instant message chat.

IRC channels

The main IRC channel for MIT Kerberos development is #krbdev on irc.freenode.net. There is a separate channel, #kerberos, for general Kerberos discussion and support.

For more information about freenode, see http://freenode.net/

The #krbdev channel is logged by lopbot. The logs are at http://www.ece.cmu.edu/~allbery/lambdabot/logs/krbdev/

Despite the existence of logging, please summarize important conversations to more permanent places, such as an appropriate mailing list or wiki page.

Jabber

Some developers are also on a Jabber chatroom. If you are interested in participating, please ask a krbcore member for the address. We are moving away from using Jabber for developer chat because of our experiences with non-MIT Jabber accounts being unable to join.
